What is the difference between regular cleaning and deep cleaning?
Regular cleaning involves your typical domestic chores you do daily or in some cases weekly to keep the property clean or at least not so dirty, like cleaning the kitchen and bathroom (those rooms are the dirtiest) and mopping floors, laundry or tidying up the place.
A deep cleaning is recommended every 3 or 6 months in a regular year.
What does deep cleaning mean?
It’s probably what you’re imagining, deep cleaning means cleaning heavily all the dirt, dust, grime, grease and anything filthy in every corner of your vacation property. For example cleaning under the sink, inside the oven and the oven door, behind and below kitchen appliances, window frames and blinds, doors, tiles, shower heads, etc., you get the idea right? detailed cleaning for all those forgotten places in your vacation rental.
Your vacation property goes through a lot of wear and tear naturally, with new people going in and out every week but now we have to be extra careful with the pandemic since we don’t want to make our guests ill by not cleaning and disinfecting properly.
How to start?
We start doing regular cleaning, clearing away the clutter, cleaning the dust from any surfaces and floors and clearing items in those spaces that need to be deep cleaned. Once the regular cleaning is done, we start with the deep cleaning, disinfecting all high-touch areas and high-traffic areas as well as other items and rooms.
Usually we start with the bathrooms and the kitchen, since those are the dirtiest rooms. The last area to be cleaned is your rental’s entryway, to avoid the need of stepping on clean floors or getting something clean, dirty by accident.
The need to deep clean to secure your guests health and avoid contamination between guests is necessary. We take pride in our jobs and take this matter seriously to maintain your guests and our employees healthy and safe.
